​These are perennial flowers. They grow in my garden every year. When they are in a vase they always look somewhat scraggily. Instead of including the vase and the whole bouquet I chose to paint just a few. There is always interesting shapes and colors with flowers. One blocks another from view. One catches the light while shading another. I was intrigued by the color of the cone flower petals but more so the color of the center seed cone.
