Nagelberg says, “I choose clay for its properties. Whether working from ready-made objects or starting from a sketch, I strive to create a cohesive language of forms that inform and inspire new designs. My exploration of manufacturing techniques and technology enables me to connect the past and future of ceramics. I founded Nail Mountain Studio to explore my interest in ceramic design, manufacturing and entrepreneurship. I work with molds to achieve unique forms and multiples. Often playful and always simple, my designs are informed by architecture, toys and machines. Vases spin and salt and peppershakers roll, inviting you to both look and play.
