
Rita Montlack is an artist known for her innovative approach to digital photography, utilizing various techniques to manipulate and transform her images. Her artwork is part of several prestigious collections, including those of The Cleveland Clinic, Progressive Corporation, University Hospitals, Cleveland Community College, Cleveland State University, and Intercontinental Hotels.
Montlack holds a B.A. in liberal arts from the University of Miami in Coral Gables and has furthered her studies in design and painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art, as well as photography at Cuyahoga Community College. Although she initially embarked on her career as a textile artist, her current focus is on digital photography, exploring its potential as a starting point for both technical and creative processes. With the advent of accessible digital cameras, printers, scanners, and advanced software, artists and amateurs alike now have expanded opportunities for artistic expression. Based in Cleveland, Montlack regularly showcases her work, including multimedia installations that integrate animation and sound.
