Lauren Davies is an artist based in Cleveland, Ohio and was a Fall/Winter 2022 Artist-in-Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans.
Lauren Davies is a Cleveland-based artist who was the Fall/Winter 2022 Artist-in-Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans. After many years in San Francisco, where she earned her MFA in sculpture from the San Francisco Art Institute, she relocated to Cleveland. Davies has showcased her mixed media installations, sculptures, and drawings at prominent venues in the Bay Area, including The Oakland Museum and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. She also exhibited an installation at Dose Projects in Brooklyn in 2014. Her residency experiences span several prestigious programs, including the California Academy of Sciences and the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. In recognition of her work, she received the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award in 2015.
