Artist: Bridget Ginley
Ginley graduated from Kent State University with a degree in fine arts. For the next two years, she was regional admissions recruiter for the School of Visual Arts in New York City and followed that up as regional curator of the vast corporate collection of Progressive Insurance. She founded and organized Buzz Gallery in 2002 and curated the cooperative venture of Cleveland area artists. She has worked at a number of other artistic and nonprofit organizations through the years.
In Sept. 2006, she opened Studio 404, a live-work studio where she sells fine arts, creates works of art, does framing and more. Recently, one of her pieces was selected by the current curator as part of the Progressive Insurance collection. She has also been a music programmer and DJ since 2006 at WRUW FM, Case Western Reserve University where she hosts the Erie Effusion Retro Radio Show. Ginley has always supported local causes and has donated works for many charitable events including ArtCares, the benefit auction of the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and to the Brunswick Area Historical Society.
carta owns a large collection of artwork by Cleveland area artists, both for adults and children, and purchases about $25,000 of new art annually. We further our mission by donating annual scholarships to Cleveland Institute of Art students and provide educational activities to enhance awareness of area artists.
