Bellamy Printz studied at Macalester College (BA), Oxford University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA), and University of Washington (MFA). She is a co-founder of Zygote Press in Cleveland, a non-profit printmaking workshop now in its 25th year of operations, and is an active member of the Cleveland art community with personal and professional ties to major businesses, institutions, and organizations.
In addition to her work at Zygote, Bellamy has been organizing exhibitions for 23 years, and for over 13 years was a member of the curatorial team at Cleveland Clinic’s Art Program in the Art + Design Institute. She is a practicing artist, with a long exhibition history as well as having worked in several corporate and private collections.
carta owns a large collection of artwork by Cleveland area artists, both for adults and children, and purchases about $25,000 of new art annually. We further our mission by donating annual scholarships to Cleveland Institute of Art students and provide educational activities to enhance awareness of area artists.
