White lilies, also called Madonna lilies, are symbolic for many cultures and religions. White lilies symbolize purity, rebirth and rejuvenation of the soul and so are often used in funerals, but as was here at a friend's ceremony, the white symbol of purity and love are perfect for weddings too .

I especially loved the dramatic light that fell on the petals. The flowers looked elegant, strong and regal.
