A walk along the Mediterranean sea inspired this painting. I was hidden from people on the sea by walls used as tide or wave breakers. I looked from behind those large, iron and stone walls/ barriers to see a beautiful serene view of boats floating in the water. I tried to give the viewer the same feeling of being hidden but with a small window into what could have been another world. The painting is also a contrast in composition, color and light- the solid opaqueness of the wall, with few details, with the brightness, clarity and detail in the view the wall reveals.
