This painting is part of my Alzheimer's series.
Carrying a purple flower means you lost someone to Alzheimer's.
This painting is highly metaphorical and personal for me. The purple represents the person with Alzheimer’s; my mother lived for many years with this disease. The dark shapes are the loved ones touched by loss, and the red is the lifeline of the person with Alzheimer’s.
