This painting, HOPE was created for a juried exhibit called One Nation Under ART. The theme of the show is to create a piece that signifies how to heal our divided nation towards a common purpose in the next decade. The bottom part of my piece is our fractured country, the gold band represents the election. The top, still fractured. The black is all of the mud slinging and fake news. The drip represents hope. The hope is undefined. Is it the new administration? Is it a higher power? Or is it a child born during Covid that’s going to heal the world.
