During Covid, I made a list of the amazing hikes and mountains in North Carolina I had not been to. Roan Mountain blew me away! Located right on the Apalachain Trail, the views are stunning. Bursts of bunt orange foliage speckled the blue mountains. People were camping at the top just to watch the stars at night. I can not wait to go back!
