“Riding the Storm” was inspired by memories of sailing the San Diego harbor. In this scene, the two deck hands stand ready for rough seas. The sailboat lurches and plunges over the large rolling waves breaking into the bow. The boat is called the “Sun Spot”, and it chases along the course to calmer bay waters.
