Some things never get old, even barns. Luscher's Community Garden and Barn has been painted many times by artists over the years, and never disappoints. Each time I get out to paint this barn, the results are always a bit different. The influences of my day and conditions of my environment and mood all play upon the canvas like a chess match. This one time I applied a light wash of tonal paint, and then used my palette knife to finish it off like a swash-buckling pirate. No matter the method, it seems to communicate the state from which I was in...carefree and never-minded. "Let's play" I said, when I approached my palette with a swift mark. Touche'
