This painting is from my Trails and Trees series. Sometimes in life you have to move beyond obstacles to continue on your journey. I chose to paint the trees red to cause to the viewer to have to actively look beyond them to the beauty further down the trail. This painting was juried into the 2019 Art Speaks Show at the Bay School of the Arts in Mathews, Virginia. It won the Students Choice Award.
