For years, i've been inspired by the lines and shadows created by highway overpasses. Before it got built up into the hotspot it is today, the Melrose area was a quiet neighborhood with a big interstate interchange a mile down the road. Here, I've abstracted and flattened it into light green and tan lines against a navy sky, almost as if you're seeing it at night.
