"Before Alice" is part of a ten piece series created by Leipski in 2016. The series is called Ten Thoughts on Tuesday. It was first exhibited at the William Bonifas Fine Arts Center in March of 2016 during Leipski's Solo exhibition, "Congeries, Amassment and Heaps".

According to the artist, the series began as a personal challenge to create a new piece every Tuesday for ten weeks. The only rule set by the artist was that each sculpture stood on the same base form. None of the pieces were related otherwise. Each sculpture was literally a snap shot of the artists mind on that given day.
