I typically paint animals that live in a closer proximity to me, but with this piece, I wanted to honour the mighty polar bear.

With the polar ice melting and habitat becoming more smaller and more hostile toward these magnificent bears, I wanted to create a painting that could remind us to think of them more often, see their beauty, and really rally for survival of even the animals that many of us don't see in our own habitat with much regularity.
