We raise a variety of sheep breeds on our farm in SW Colorado and it's always a surprise to see how the lambs will turn out. I especially liked the color combination of this little 'paint' as he stood in front of his mother. Her long wool is matted and his wool is short and soft, making the different textures a bit of a challenge to recreate in oil.
