ARTIST'S NOTE: "Static Tensions 1" is a large, abstract artwork on wood panel. The piece was visually inspired by the technically busy and infrequently light sound of post-progressive, heavy metal music on Kylesa's 2009 album, Static Tensions. Its complementary piece (red on black) is "Static Tensions 2."
