ARTIST'S NOTE: This original painting - "Meramec: Jesse's Hideout" - is a large, expressionistic abstract on wood panel imagining the now famous Meramec Caverns where the wanted, young gunslinger Jessie James and his gang hid out and used many times in Stanton, Missouri in the 1870s.
Artist remains a fan of western movies and lore since boyhood when, at six years old, he remembers watching a black and white western movie inside a makeshift movie theater in the Monroeville, PA firehouse.
