ARTIST'S NOTE: "Feral Feline" is an expressionistic, negative space abstract artwork of the grey and white, feral female cat that appeared at my house's backdoor one mid-July afternoon. She was fully pregnant but thin. Definitely hungry. Having lost three of my four cats in the prior year, I sensed her special. And so, twice daily I fed her insatiable appetite. Presently she birthed four kittens. And she continued coming to my door twice daily for food needed for her milk production. Eventually, this mother cat brought her kittens around to my door. Since then, I feed this not-so-feral colony twice daily. Now I wonder - is this lot a gift from or the souls of my three deceased cats...?
