ARTIST'S NOTE: "Discarded Bouquet" is a figurative abstract on paper of a bouquet of flowers the artist remembers seeing in the gutter of an upper-eastside Manhattan, New York street the morning after Valentine's Day. He wondered to himself 'who trashed them there and why'? Was it by an unrequited lover, who with flowers in hand, was summarily rejected by their love the night before?'
