This is a fun little painting from 2017. It features many layers of different mark making techniques on stretched raw canvas. The composition features acrylic washes, poured paint, smeared paint, marker doodles, and text snippets. There is very little brushwork here.

This painting is vibrant and it has a bright energy to it. Dark undertones are suggested by the drawings of comets hurling through space and the sorts of primordial life forms swimming around the canvas. It's like an allegory of having to bust stuff up to make new things.
