This was a very intuitive painting. I sometimes draw in my sketchbook with markers. Just scribbles with no intention. I often look at these playful marks and get an idea for a larger work. This was fun because I used abstract marks to evolve a more ‘realistic’ idea. I didn’t go out in the landscape or look at a picture. I just started painting the scribble and this is what happened.
