Artist: Nicole Bouldoukian (french)
Nicole Bouldoukian is an artist of French origin, Lebanese by love. Graduated in Literature, and self-taught artist.
Artistic creation has always been part of her daily life: painting, enamels on copper, sculpture, and drawing.
she has always worked by setting a theme as her first sculptures represented the animal world and then the human form started taking over.
Eventually, the following themes were born: the Couple, Woman in all her states, Mothers and children, Family, Thinkers, Readers, Cyclists, Dance, Beach, Callipyges, Street scenes, Characters from tales, Groups, Ménines and Variations, Bathers, Seductresses, La Fontaine's Fables, Nature, Trees, Seeds, Bas-reliefs.
These creations were born in different materials: paper pulp, wire, terracotta, stoneware, and wax, some transformed into bronze, others into aluminum, and others into colored resins.
she produces her abstract and figurative drawings with Indian ink or charcoal. They express nature and some of her fantasies.
She has been exhibiting her work since 1997, through solo and group exhibitions, in Lebanon and France. She is also a member of ''la Maison des Artistes'' (France).
