Silphium Reaching, painted from reference photos taken at the home of a friend I met through a native plant group. Created using the same wet-on-wet, watercolor-like technique as pieces like Black-eyed Susan and St. John’s Wort, which were painted from references taken at the Flint Creek boat ramp.
