A native Texan, Carol and her husband divide their time between Houston and Coeur
d’Alene, Idaho.

Carol Measom has always been drawn to creative projects and computers. At thirty,
she merged those interests by completing a program at the Art Institute of Houston
with a focus on graphic design. She later put these skills to work while helping her
husband build a successful software company.

After their retirement in 2012, she would be inspired to start painting by some artists
while living part time in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Not having any background in fine art and having limited resources in Mexico, she
found herself hungry for instruction and information about art. The internet and
experimentation became a source of learning, instruction and methods.

Carol started exploring and selling acrylic paintings. A new artist friend saw her
potential and became a mentor and champion of Carol’s art journey. Since then,
Carol moved into her own art studio and has a blossoming art career.

Carol’s art can be found in design centers, retails shops and private collections across
the country.
