BIBBI ANDERSON
A native Texan living in Houston, Bibbi Anderson of Anarte Gallery, was raised in a family of strong southern women where her fascination with art was encouraged and nurtured. Her passion for art stirs her very soul.
As she sits at her easel and begins a piece, she loves the feeling of discovering a mark, line, or brush stroke that “works”. The promise that her art will come alive…. filling a blank space with its own unique energy is what propels her forward in her artistic journey.
Bibbi is a Texas-based artist who specializes in oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings. She is an Impressionistic and contemporary representational artist with artwork styles to include figurative, still life, landscape, and abstract. Bibbi studied at Glassell School of Art, Scottsdale Artist School, and also studied with several Master artists, including CW Mundy, Carolyn Anderson, Milt Kobashi, Peggy Kroll Roberts, Stanka Kordick, V. Vaughn, Phil Starke, Kim English, Michael Carson, Quang Ho, Robert Moore, David Shevlino, Maggie Ciner and many others. Bibbi has won awards from Woodlands Art League’s Spring WAL Show 2016, Spring WAL Show 2017, as well as an Honorable Mention from Oil Painters of America’s Fall online show, 2015.
