This intricate little flower is called a Shooting Star. When I was a kid it was a flower my dad always pointed out as we were walking through the grass. It's small and easy to miss, so I was always delighted at the discovery and then carefully picked a few. Their lifespan is fleeting in the spring and challenging to photograph due to the small size.
