I’ve worked on this painting on & off over the course of a couple years. It started with a summer in Alaska when I was in college doing a stint as a face painter at the Alaska state fair (hey we all start somewhere). Seward is a picturesque little coastal town rich in artistic subject matter. Just walking down the docks inspires the want of a new camera, J Crew deck shoes, and halibut for lunch. Those memories combined with a photo my dad took brought this painting to life...and now a couple years later I’ve brought it back to the easel for a proper finish.
