This is a microscopic image of tears that were evaporated on a microscope slide. There are several different types of tears, one being emotional tears. The makeup of emotional tears differs from its counterparts and includes various salts, proteins, hormones, etc. My mom died unexpectedly on November 2, 2025. I have cried many tears since then. I decided to capture the tears and look at the crystalline patterns they produced under the microscope. This was captured at 40X.
