Ntozake Shange's choreopeom begins performances in March. The photo of Camille Brown in the NYT's inspired this painting. She is making her Broadway directorial debut with "for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf." Shange's landmark work incorporates poetry, song and dance to tell the stories of seven women.
