I enjoy doing imaginative image manipulation of familiar objects. Many of these images are what I refer to as "Solarization" style, a new twist on a very old photo technique. Doing this is a creative practice that I find intriguing.
All photos are available custom printed in larger sizes, on paper or metal. Prices will vary. Ask me about this.
These 8.5”x11" images are available right now to purchase. Limited edition prints. Edition size max 20.
Actually I was surprised to discover, thanks to an artist friend who saw my work, that this unique photographic processing technique has roots in fine art photograph history. I was unaware of this and am delighted to know about it and share with you here:
The description found in Wikipedia is: In photography, solarization is the effect of tone reversal observed in cases of extreme overexposure of the photographic film in the camera. Most likely, the effect was first observed in scenery photographs including the sun. The sun, instead of being the whitest spot in the image, turned black or grey.
I love to offer my photos to be printed for people who enjoy my other art also. As you know, we can have images printed for you on museum-quality paper, canvas, and even metal. Our Archival pigmented printing process is great.
