Many shades of green in sloping curves evokes rolling hills in this abstract art quilt. The composition features overlapping and intersecting geometric curves arranged in a dynamic yet balanced manner, creating a sense of movement and depth. After hand cutting pieces of solid colored fabric, designing the composition, and sewing the pieces together I layered the quilt top with cotton batting and stitched many closely-spaced lines through the layers to add texture. This is called matchstick quilting.
