Elongated organic lines are featured in this dynamic composition. The thin flowing lines appear hand drawn but are sewn from solid colored fabric. The colors include olive green, dark brown, shades of grey, light purple, bright red, blue, yellow, orange, magenta, and dark blue.
After hand cutting pieces of solid colored fabric, designing the composition, and sewing the pieces together I layered the quilt top with cotton batting and stitched many closely-spaced lines through the layers to add texture. This is called matchstick quilting.
