Shree Jain Shwetamber Derawasi Sangh, 1963
The Jain temple in Mombasa, Kenya is constructed from white marble and has a tall shikhara in the Nagara style. It is associated with the Shvetambara sect. The Jain community in Kenya dates back over 100 years ago, during British colonial rule, and Jains are important members of Kenyan society. The Mombasa temple also attracts many Jain visitors from abroad.
