Shatrunjaya Pata
- Natural pigments and water-based colors on canvas
This pilgrimage map of Shatrunjaya, while also dating to the latter half of the 20th century, seems to adhere to the more traditional depictions of Shatrunjaya as seen in earlier patas. Populated densely with pilgrims on different paths, it also bears the characteristic landmarks such as the Shatrunji river and the Adishvar temple to help us identify the site. Here, however, the temples are depicted as an intricately woven complex from a bird's eye perspective. The site of Shatrunjaya being a ‘living site’ is under the management of the Sheth Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi, one of the oldest Jain Trusts.
