Pedestal for Oblation and Flag-staff with Sangita Mandapa in the Background
Paintings dating from the 17th century, but recently restored, adorn the ceiling of the sangeet mandapa. The latter is a pillared hall situated in front of the raised mukhamandapas of the vardhamana shrine and the adjoining triple shrine complex. The ceiling rests on eight rows of three pillars each. The pillars are in the early Vijaynagar style and lack the elaborate ornamentation of the later Vijaynagar pillars. The paintings, arranged in rows of panels and labeled, relate narratives from the lives of tirthankaras, in particular, Mahavira, Nemi and Rishabha.
