Monolithic Column at Indra Sabha Cave
Besides the sarvatobhadra monolithic temple in the inner courtyard of the Indra Sabha, cave 32 stands a column crowned with a sarvatobhadra sculpture of a Jain yaksha. This is a manastambha or “pride-pillar” meant to remind devotees to set aside their pride upon entering a sacred space or a temple. These stambhas are also a characteristic of Digambara literary descriptions of a samavasarana.
