Jain Bhattaraka Samadhis
These are pyramidal structures constructed out of local red tuff stone are funerary monuments bearing inscriptions commemorating deceased teachers and are believed to contain ashes and bone relics. Bhattaraka refers to a line of learned clerical heads responsible for the running and maintenance of Digambara religious institutions such as monasteries and libraries.
