From the installation, you may be able to make out two inscriptions: "tell it slant / tell it skeiv."
"Skeiv" (pronounced shive) is the Norwegian word for queer, a direct translation. It literally means askew, as in a picture on a wall not quite hung level, a bit slanted.
"Tell it slant" is borrowed from Emily Dickinson's poem that I feel resonates in our current moment: "Tell all the truth but tell it slant"
