TWE001, Soda Flow Vase

This piece is fired in a 12 hour wood firing. Soda ash vapour is sprayed into the kiln at 1300 Degrees Celsius. The ash melts onto the pots creating a mottled glaze surface. The process creates extremely variable results with a high level of risk and unexpected outcomes. Porcelain, Slip cast. These pieces are vitrified and can be used as a vase with water. Wash by hand.
