LUNA Fête 2017 : Cross-Cultural Connections

Tom Stevenson is a part-time musician and freelance fundraising consultant for local nonprofit organizations. A 2005 graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, Stevenson has been involved in the local music scene for more than a decade as a singer, songwriter and bass player for the band Pigeon Town. In 2016, Stevenson began experimenting with electronic percussion, loop pedals and mobile sound-systems, and hatched the idea for the Spacebox, an integrated, interactive audio-visual beat box on wheels. Stevenson and his Spacebox can be found rolling down the streets of New Orleans with loosely organized krewes of revelers, or spinning out improvised bedroom beats on social media.
