LUNA Fête 2017 : Cross-Cultural Connections

Megan Jewel began making handmade greeting cards with an old typewriter and colorful art papers that she had collected over the years. As she began to work on larger illustrations and collages Megan Jewel Designs was born.

Using tiny scissors and pieces of colorful paper, she gets lost in a whimsical world where the birds are larger than life and the flowers bloom all year long. A place full of kindness, music, and sunshine. Jewel’s work is a meditation on positivity. She believes that just because we 'grow up' doesn't mean that we can't find joy in the simple wonders that we did as children. Our lives can become so busy and stressful that we often need a little reminder to be lighthearted and find the happy moments in each day. Jewel’s original collages and fine art prints are meant to bring a little bit of that happiness into your home.
