Art of the Black Experience

Kevin Elder‘s artwork reflects New Orleans' rich African and Caribbean heritage. Elder's inspiration and artistic influence began with his father. As a child, he watched him use various mediums to create intricate visual art. Because of his unique ability, it taught Elder how to take risks and the importance of artistic self-expression.

Elder's artistic technique and process includes the use of acrylic paint on canvas or rag paper. His signature lines create unique images depicting the essence of the human spirit.
