Voices of the People was commissioned for the City Hall City Council Chambers by the City of New Orleans Percent for Art program, administered by Arts New Orleans. Arts New Orleans commissioned 5 local artists to create artwork that reflects their respective City Council district. Through the eyes of the artists, we celebrate the landscape, neighborhoods, people, and the culture that shapes the city of New Orleans. Voices of the People is an inaugural collection for the Percent for Art Interior Program, capturing the triumphs, challenges, and cultural landscape across New Orleans as we look toward the future.
