“Pause Here, the Land is Speaking ,” by Jamar Pierre and YAM artists, is inspired by the ecology of Louisiana wetlands. The design features two mosaic-adorned benches and four mosaic table-tops that evoke local flora and fauna. Each piece blends glass and ceramic tiles into vibrant motifs of birds, trees, leaves, and patterns of flowing water. The mosaics honor Louisiana’s natural beauty and the creative voices of her young artists. As its title suggests, this functional artwork invites pause, reflection, and gathering in a peaceful outdoor setting.
