Drawing from a broad range of historical and hypothetical sources—from matters of fact to legends and lore—Team A/C’s mural constructs a new collective vision of how the inhabitants of New Orleans saw, see, and imagine their city. Their mural celebrates the diversity of New Orleans’ built environment by mobilizing its material and tectonic traditions through a projective lens. The mural was executed through a mixing of traditional and digital crafts. These include digital image making, automated CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) fabrication of stencils, and hand painting.
