Four artists worked with community organizations: Kingsley House, Unity for the Homeless, Central City EOC Multi-Purpose Center, and The Green Project, and their constituents, ages 4 - 98, to produce four very distinct and creative fish. The four fish are part of the City of New Orleans' public art collection.
Kingsley House is a century-old, well-established community service resource now serving inner-city residents. The N.O. Cultural Gumbo fish was created by artist Larry Nevil and senior citizens aged 68 to 99 years. This piece is located at 1600 Constance Street.
