This mural reflects the connection the fire station has with the New Orleans community. Artist Chris Pavlik the mural relates to the magic and mystery of early Mardi Gras floats while highlighting firemen alongside local plants and animals. The float is comprised of a giant alligator guided by four pelicans that make up the state seal. A giant egret stands as the Carnival king and is joined by a brass band made up of various birds that call the region home.
